Here at Solomon Schechter Day School, we strive to impart a well rounded education, a comprehensive Judaic experience, and a warm, family-like environment to each and every student.

Our dual curriculum includes a rigorous general studies and a rich Judaic studies program coupled with an enthusiastic, intelligent faculty.  Together, these ingredients create our perfect recipe for success!  Our staff and faculty are dedicated to both furthering your child’s education, while also creating a fun and inviting environment for students and families.

While our school has many special and interesting facets, a true gem is our extraordinary art and music programs.  Whether it is learning an instrument, creating an artistic masterpiece, or singing your heart out, Solomon Schechter truly allows your child to express his or her artistic passion.  Not interested in the arts?  We also have a fantastic athletic program which includes an opportunity to play interscholastic basketball!

In addition to the educational experience gained by students here at Solomon Schechter Day School, is the incredible life experience they attain.  By forming strong ties to the Greater Hartford Jewish community through intergenerational efforts and active community service, students learn to both respect and utilize the resources available to them, and to share their gifts with those who might benefit.
