SSDS SHARE Program

The SHARE program was created to ensure the financial health of SSDS by bridging the gap between the actual cost of educating your child and the combination of tuition, school fundraising efforts, and our Federation allocation. Below is an overview of the various ways parents may fulfill their SHARE obligation.

WAYS TO CONTRIBUTE TO YOUR SHARE OBLIGATION:

Cash or Check

Payment for all or part of your SHARE obligation can always be paid by cash or check. Contact: Karen Shakun (w) 561-0700X155

SCRIP Program

All scrip orders are placed the first and third Monday of every month ( some exceptions due to holidays).  Checks may be made out to SSDS for the total scrip amount.

  • Crown Scrip–denominations in $50 and $100 booklets. 5% of total purchase will be credited to your SHARE obligation.
  • Waldbaums Scrip–denominations in $50 and $100 gift cards. 5% of total purchase will be credited to your SHARE obligation.

  • Great Lakes Scrip–gift cards and certificates from many retail vendors andmerchants locally and nationally. % varies from vendor to vendor.  Please check retailer denominatins and guidelines at www.glscrip.com before placing your order as they change frequently. Donations to the General Operating Fund

Donations made to the General Operating Fund at or above $18 will be credited 50% to your Share balance until your obligation is met.

SSDS Student Directory Advertisements

Participants will receive 100% credit to their SHARE obligation for any ad they procure. Ads are due by mid August to insure entry into the fall directory. See SHARE packet for details.

 

Goods and Services Directory

Listing of local vendors that have offered to give back a certain percentage or dollar amount of every purchase to your SHARE obligation. Please refer to the insert in the back of the student directory for a complete listing of vendors.

 

eScrip Credit Card

With the eScrip VISA, up to 2%  of all purchases supports SSDS. There is no annual fee. Your card is automatically registered with eScrip, and online scrip company. When you use this card at participating eScrip merchants, you receive both the merchant and the VISA earnings.  At the end of the calendar year, eScrip will send the VISA earnings to SSDS. To apply for the eScrip VISA, go online to www.eScrip.com. SSDS group # is 6565149

 

SSDS Room Rental-(for SSDS families only)

Rent one of the rooms in the school for a birthday party or meeting.  $25 will be applied toward your SHARE obligation.  Please contact the school office for application and availability Contact: Diane Lubynsky 561-0700  ext 159

 

Corporate Matching Gift Program

If your company matches gifts to elementary or secondary schools, you may be eligible to receive full credit towards your SHARE obligation for the amount of the company match. In most cases Corporations will match your gift to SSDS, dollar for dollar.  Contact your HR department for details and forms.
