Where Your Money Goes

When making a donation to the school you have the choice of designating how the funds will be used. 

There are two types of funds:

Operating Funds supplement the general operations of the school as well as specific school programs.

Endowment Funds are established by individuals or families.

Operating Fund contributions go directly to the specific area of

interest of each fund:

  • Education Enrichment Fund
  • Family Education Program
  • Family Tzedakah Fund
  • General Operating Fund
  • General Scholarship Fund
  • Jewish Book Fund
  • Karla Greenhut Scholarship Fund
  • Library/Computer Center Fund
  • Music & Art Program
  • Principal’s Discretionary Fund
  • Solomon’s Path Playground Fund
  • Theater Program

Endowment funds are established by individuals or families and are generally designated for a specific purpose (e.g. scholarship).  Unrestricted funds can be used for any purpose.  The interest earned on the fund balance is allocated to Schechter quarterly.  The interest is used to supplement and enrich programming at the school.  The following is a list of the endowment funds available by category of fund.
