Shalom Reggio: Programming for the Greater Hartford Jewish Community

Schechter continues to find creative ways to connect with Jewish families, even during a pandemic! Last week we held the first of our Shalom Reggio events for families with children ages birth-4. Parents, grandparents, and other caregivers brought their young ones for a Sukkot-themed event outside on our field. The rain may have kept us from gathering for long, but not from sharing our creative and individualized activity bags, including arts supplies to make sukkah decorations and other fall-themed nature-inspired creations, a Sukkot sing-along song sheet, and a handy list of Sukkot vocabulary words in English, Hebrew, and transliteration. This is the first in a series of events we are holding in conjunction with PJ Library and Prizmah Center for Jewish Day Schools. Events are free and open to the public. Mark your calendars for more!
